Thanks to Our Retirees

Last week I had the bittersweet privilege of thanking 22 University of Oregon colleagues who are retiring after giving Oregon a combined 584 years of experience.

These are cherished friends and co-workers who we will miss. They will miss us, too, but not so much that they won’t enjoy more time in gardens, on rivers and golf courses, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. They’ve earned it.

It’s a milestone that will come for each of us one day, of course.

We are all grateful for the dedication, professionalism, and passion of our friends we honored last week-colleagues who have dedicated their minds and their hearts to help make the University of Oregon what it is today.
