Roundup highlights university’s strong eastern Oregon ties

Jan and I recently donned our boots and hats and headed to the Pendleton Roundup. After twenty-four years in Texas, this wasn’t our first rodeo, but it was our first Roundup. It’s a great rodeo and celebration of Oregon.

It was also a great chance to see some wonderful friends of the university in eastern Oregon, including UO alum and Congressman Greg Walden (R-Hood River), State Senator Dave Nelson (R-Pendleton), the folks at Blue Mountain Community College, and the generous Ed Kingzett. The photos below highlight just a few of the connections we enjoyed making. The video features a portion of a speech at the Let 'er Duck Roundup breakfast.
